Now Providing DBT treatment to adults and Teens!
Our specialized training enables us to offer evidence-based outpatient care for individuals with a range of mental health disorders, including borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, PTSD, ASD, eating disorders, and mild substance use disorders.
Clients should plan for treatment to last 12 months. Treatment includes all of the services described below.
Clients meet weekly with their primary therapist. This time is guided by an agenda developed between the therapist and client at the start of every session.
The highest priority of an individual session is maintaining a client's motivation to change, including their commitment to therapy.
The primary mechanism for encouraging this motivation and commitment is the empathetic, non-judgmental, and genuine relationship between therapist and client.
We cultivate a group environment where clients can learn and practice new skills among their peers, led by two DBT clinicians.
We work diligently to balance our two goals of skills training group: working hard and having fun.
Contact between sessions, as needed, between client and therapist to assist with practicing skills. Calls are brief and are focused on applying skills. What good is therapy if you have to wait a whole week to discuss ideas for getting through a difficult emotion?
Bi-weekly classes for the parents of teens participating in comprehensive DBT only. This class is designed to orient parents to the same skills their teens are learning and concentrate their own learning on the DBT skills specific to parenting. This time and space is also used to connect with and support other parents who are in the same boat.
We don't offer DBT parenting classes for the general public at this time.
Individualized parent and/or family sessions to provide help with problem-solving, skill development, and strengthening connections.
